Rakuten Mobile announced a change to its Rakuten SAIKYO Plan (Data Type): from 1:00 a.m. on February 24, 2026, SMS will no longer be included for new applications. Customers who complete their first sign-up by 0:59 a.m. that day and continue using the plan will retain SMS, including message send/receive and receiving authentication codes used for app verification.
